True Treasures

treasureThose things this world calls riches--
Jewels, silver and gold
Bank accounts and real estate,
Are things that are bought and sold.

True treasures are intangible-
Character, family, friends
Things that money cannot buy
But blessings that God sends.

Count wealth not as the world does
By possessions and property
But by your relationships
Those things you cannot see.

Don’t lay up earthly treasures
Which can rust or decay
Relationships are the only things
That will matter on that Final Day.
