Prayer for the New Year

clockLord, the new year lies before us
Like the freshly fallen snow
What awaits us as we enter?
We may wonder, but You know.

In our joys help us remember
That all good things come from You
In our sorrows keep us trusting
That Your grace will see us through.

As we start this brand new year, Lord,
May our focus be on You
Each day lived as though our last day
With eternal life in view.
