A Letter from My Love

Bible and roseMy Lover has written me a letter
Which I read over and over
He writes of His passionate longing
For us to be together forever

I have stolen my Lover’s heart
With but one glance of my eyes.
He has spread for me a banquet
And His banner over me is love.

My Lover is enamored of me
And betrothed to me in faithfulness
He admits that He is jealous of me
For He loves me with an everlasting love.

I am my Lover’s and He is mine
I reread my Love’s letter often.
He’s the Lover of my soul
And I long to live with Him eternally.
