A True Woman

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

-Proverbs 31:30, 31

The Heart of a Woman Cries Out

by Lady Catherine Beatty

womanI love being a woman. I have no desire to act like or sound like our male counterparts. I believe when God made the woman, that he called her forth from His heart. So as I see it, we women are special. It's not to say that our Heavenly Father doesn't love the man; he's just different.

God has instilled in each person exactly what is needed to accomplish their roles in life as a male or a female. So for us to desire to be something else, goes against our very nature.

Over the years I've discovered there are good reasons why some women desire to be like a man. Unfortunately most of the time it's because of abuse. Throughout history women have been treated as second class people, and in some cases worse than animals.

As a survivor of abuse, I understand the heart's cry of a woman who feels unloved or unappreciated. She asks herself why is this happening to me, what horrible thing have I done to be treated in this manner? She loses her self worth, her dignity and her hope.

Sometimes she'll give up on her dreams and goals, and just settles for her present situation until she discovers how special God has created her.

Women understand things that men don't. We have a big heart and there is room for lots of people. We can feel another woman's pain and recognize the symptoms of despair. The nature of a woman (like the heart of God) is to nourish and protect her love ones.

I enjoy being a woman because I like having a husband to take care of me, and I don't mean just financially. I had a job and was doing pretty good before I met him. It's more than having someone to provide the material things for you. He's my friend and my special gift from the Father. Does that mean he's perfect? Of course not, although he might think so. Ha-ha. When things go wrong, I know he will hold me in his arms, stroke my hair and gently kiss me on the forehead. "It's going to be alright," he will say. "I'm hear for you." At that moment I might feel like a little girl (the weaker sex), but I know that I'm loved and that's all that matters.

The heart's cry of the Father, is the same heart's cry of a woman.

He has a BIG heart and loves all His children. We as women want to nourish and protect our love ones. Our Heavenly Father wants to nourish and protect His love ones. When there is no one around to whisper the words, "It's going to be alright, I'm here for you", just remember the heart's cry of the Father. He's there to nourish, protect, comfort and show you, His daughter, how much He loves you.

If you have read my bio, then you know how much I've accomplished. The world may see women as the weaker sex, but I see women as strong, yet gentle. We can be graceful, yet display the power to lead. We can wear many hats and accomplish many tasks, all at the same time.

We read in the 31st chapter of the book of Proverbs a great account of a woman, and she isn't much different than today's woman. She's taken on many responsibilities. She has a family, runs her own business, has a heart for the poor, and is well known in her community for her kindness.

Chapter 31, verse 10: "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." Verse 28: "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Verse 29: "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." Verse 30: "Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised". (KJV)

Ladies, I would say to you, let your heart's cry be to the Father.

Put Him first and you'll experience the joy of the Proverbs woman.

No one can take your dignity or self worth from you, unless you let him or her. We all know life isn't a fairy tale, but in Him we can enjoy life to the fullest, no matter what the circumstances.

Don't give up on yourself, your family, or your life. Keep your dreams and dream more, write down your goals, and work at accomplishing them. Dear ladies, we all have seeds of greatness in us, but it's up to you to bring in the harvest. Your Heavenly Father's ears and heart are open to your cries.

Until we meet again, practice bringing in your harvest.
